Sorry to hear that Dennis has passed. He was my college fraternity brother, my classmate at Rutgers and my partner in many college and post college days adventures. He was also in my wedding party 51 years ago.I remember his mad cap piano playing, he would have something important on his mind and he'd play and play, probably sorting things through his very, very smart brain.
We shared many good times at the homes of each other. I at his parents place in Queens and his grandparents at the lake. It was there that I met his brothers. He would visit me in Wethersfield not as much fun as the lake and NY.
Dennis shared his good heart and his good sense with many people giving advice and encouragement to those who were feeling not so good about themselves. He could have been a very good priest. But then he would have made at least Cardinal and I'd have to kiss his ring, nah!
So how come I haven't spoken to him in a long time? I guess our busy, full lives got in the way, career, kids, time passes very quickly and I feel bad that I didn't make more than one effort to see him.

Matthew,
Your Dad and I spent our early years at Lake Hayward. We had spoken just after he returned from the hospital and planned to get together again this summer. We were surprised and deeply saddened to read of his passing in The Courant. He was also a member of our wedding party back in 1961. Our prayers are with you.
