I'm so sorry to hear that Ellen has died. Although I only knew her a short time, it was always a pleasure to visit with her, especially over dinner. She was full of stories about her life and family, and the love she had for all of you, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, shone through whenever she spoke of you. I hope life will bless you with many loving reminders of her to help you feel close to her again and again.

I’ve been very fortunate to have known Gram for nearly half my lifetime. I met Gram back in June 1998, and I immediately knew that she was someone very special. Over the years, she would welcome me into her home with a smile, a hug, and immediately want to know “what’s new”. She was a great conversationalist, and perhaps an even better listener. She was always available to offer priceless wisdom and advice, and yet also provide empowering encouragement and reassurance. Her calm yet positive aura would always leave everyone around her feeling better about themselves. I can’t thank Gram enough for the endless love that she has provided to my family. She has always been a guiding light and role model to Shari, Trevor, Lynn, and myself. I’m so sad to say good-bye, but I know Gram is now in a better place, and she’ll forever be in our hearts and memories. We’ll always love you Gram, and we’ll never forget how you made us feel so loved!

To Gary and the Leone Family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Ellen. She was such a kind, sensitive, and loving soul. I will always remember her sweet tooth and the many times we indulged in a special treat, along with hot tea. I'm quite sure she will be missed greatly by all of you. Over the years many people have told me how much Brittany looks like Gram. Her beautiful presence will always be seen through the eyes of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
