Obituary of Kathy Tischofer

Kathy Tischofer, 62, of Glastonbury, Connecticut died the morning of September 6, 2017 at Hartford Hospital after a long battle with cancer.  She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ayala; grandson, Theodore; sisters Laurie Piorkowski and Cynthia Normandin; and brothers John Hill, and Donald Hill.  She also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, and close friends.  Kathy was a dispatcher for the Hartford Police Department for nearly 30 years, until her illness forced her to retire.  She spent most of her life caring for others, including her mother, Evelyn Hill, who passed away last year from Alzheimer's.  She was passionate about the welfare of the sick and elderly, and had a very giving heart.  Her generous spirit will live on through her family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 9 at St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St. Glastonbury at noon.  Family and friends may call on Friday, September 8 at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury from 5:00-7:00 p.m. For online condolences please visit www.mulryanfh.com
